Start with the workers actually on site

A new house, a renovation and a multi-phase commercial project place different demands on portable facilities. Tell us the highest number of workers present, shift length, project duration and where the crew is working. Include subcontractors in the discussion.

200 or moreOne toilet seat and one urinal for each 50 workers, rounded up.

A crew of 45 falls into the 40-worker ratio: 45 ÷ 40 rounds up to 2 toilet seats and 2 urinals. This is a fixture minimum, not a promise that two unserviced units will remain suitable indefinitely. Review cleanliness, washing facilities and your site’s requirements.

Choose the right equipment and service schedule

A standard unit is a useful starting option. Discuss handwashing, additional facilities for spread-out work zones, and more frequent servicing as usage grows. Arrange service-truck access even when work areas are fenced or deliveries block the usual entrance.

For work above ground level

High-rise and lift-compatible toilets require model-specific planning. Satellite’s Highrise reference is 31.2 in wide, 53 in deep and 78 in high without the roof, with a 38-gallon tank. Its optional roof and lift kit change the configuration. Confirm the elevator route, approved lifting equipment and the supplied model; never improvise a lifting attachment.

Understand the rental cycle

Several construction calls used 28-day billing, with delivery in the first period and removal charged separately. Do not treat those historical prices as current Arvada rates. Your written quote must state the actual cycle, recurring charge, included service and pickup notice.

For a three-week project, ask whether one complete rental cycle applies and when to request removal. For a longer build in Leyden Rock or Candelas, call before the renewal date if the completion schedule changes.

Plan the route, not just the footprint

Measure the narrowest gate, note overhead wires and tell us about slopes, steps, gravel or soft ground. An equipment dimension is not a delivery-vehicle clearance. We need to assess the whole route and retain access for pumping and collection.

Mark your preferred position and provide a reachable on-site contact. If a backyard cannot be reached safely, agree on a practical alternative before dispatch. Never move a filled unit yourself.
