Four weeks is not always a month

A 28-day rental period lasts exactly four weeks. If your agreement uses that cycle, the next period begins after those 28 days rather than on the same date in the next calendar month. Confirm your specific start date and renewal terms in writing.

A short project may still use a complete cycle

In one customer call, a three-week project was quoted within the first 28-day period. That example does not create a universal minimum or a prorating policy. Ask how a shorter project is billed and what happens if it extends beyond the first period.

Separate the initial and recurring charges

Construction calls discussed delivery in the first invoice, recurring equipment charges later and sometimes a separate removal fee. A first-period total therefore may not equal the normal recurring charge. Compare like-for-like line items when reviewing quotes.

Put cleaning on the calendar too

Ask what visits are included, when the first visit occurs and how holidays or site closures affect access. Review waste pumping, interior cleaning, deodorizing and supplies. Growing crews or longer shifts can need a revised schedule.

Close an open-ended rental deliberately

Call when the equipment is no longer needed, follow the notice requirement in the agreement and obtain confirmation. Ask when billing ends and whether pickup timing affects the final invoice. Leaving a unit unused on a finished site does not establish that the rental is closed.

A practical Arvada contractor checklist

  • Record the first day of the rental and next renewal date.
  • Keep the order contact and pickup instructions with project records.
  • Check completion timing before authorizing another period.
  • Keep gates and approaches open for service and removal.
  • Request written details for any extension or schedule change.
